The name of the Seminary is taken from the Hebrew word Shalom. The word Shalom is used in the form of greeting others of well-being. However, this word has much more meaning and depth than what normally comes across from its common English equivalent “Peace.” A perusal of the word Shalom in the Bible reveals that Shalom also means completeness, wholeness, soundness, and fullness of life which involves the total well-being of human beings.
